Tasting note

Nuits St. Georges Pinot Noir is known for its earthy and slightly smoky aromas. On the nose, it has notes of cherries, blackcurrants, raspberries. It is a structured, medium-bodied feel on the palate Hints of spice and a touch of smokiness peek through as well (vanilla, toasty notes).

Food pairing

Roasted meats: This is a timeless pairing. Consider dishes like roasted chicken, duck, or even a rack of lamb. Earthy mushroom dishes: The earthy character of the wine will beautifully match dishes featuring mushrooms, like risotto or mushroom bourguignon. Beef Burgundy: A Burgundian wine with Burgundian beef stew? It's a classic for a reason!

About the producer

Domaine Jean Chauvenet is a perfect example of the Burgundian family-run holding. Lying in Nuits-Saint-Georges district within metres of Vosne-Romanée, its 10
hectares of wines include no fewer than 5 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Crus. Run by Christophe Drag and his wife Christine, they work tirelessly towards organic
certification, holding a single golden rule of having the utmost respect for the expression of each terroir to yield a variety of different wines. Together they have brought
a modern and energetic touch to this family Domaine and are recognised for producing elegant and stylish wines of incomparable texture. Christophe distinguishes
between the north and south 1er Crus, deeming those of the north to be more delicate and those of the south the more structured. His village holdings in Nuits-StGeorges and Vosne-Romanée are also held in high esteem with ‘Les Vaucrains’ standing out amongst its finest.
