Originally created in 1955 by Robert Fleury, we changed the name of our classic cuvée to “Blanc de Noirs Brut” in 2010. Every new vintage is added to the previous vintage to create a perpetual reserve in large casks, a process also known as the “Solera” method. The cuvée is then aged “sur lattes” for four years.

Tasting note

This pure Pinot Noir, Champagne Blanc de Noirs Brut, has golden hues which reveals an elegant taste, with delicate aromas of white peach, plum and raspberry. In the mouth, this very well-balanced champagne is silky smooth and round following a nice long finish.

Food pairing

It is a very versatile Champagne, which can go very well with a variety of dishes from seafood, clams and oysters to guinea-fowl and duck breas. It also goes very well with risotto dishes, rice pudding chestnuts and figs.

About the producer

The Fleury estate was founded 1895 in Courteron in the heart of southern Champagne in the Côte des Bar. The domaine is situated among the clay-limestone
hillsides formed in the Kimmeridgian period by the first tributaries of the Seine. The Source of the River Seine begins 70 km upstream, towards Saint-Seine-l’Abbaye.
The family’s passion for viticulture has been fuelled by Biodynamic principles, sitting on 15 hectares of land, which is comprised of 85% Pinot Noir and 10%
Chardonnay; the remainder is split between Pinot Blanc (a historical variety in Champagne), Pinot Gris (replanted in 2010) and Pinot Meunier. The oldest vines were
planted in 1970, and every year new ones are replanted to preserve the quality and vitality of our vineyard.
