Description

Before the vinification, we select the best parcel to produce this type of wine. Short maceration before the alcoholic fermentation and pumping over during the maturation is done in concrete tank in order to keep the fruity character. This red wine is vinified without added sulphites.

Tasting note

Ruby colour with delicious aromas of juicy red berries, mouth-filling strawberry, redcurrant fruits and sweet species with soft, silken tannins and a soft finish.

About the producer

Proud of a history dating back to the 15th century, Domaine de la Provenquière is located in the heart of the Languedoc region, near the town of Capestang, a short distance to the west of Béziers. Brigitte and Claude Robert, the grandchildren of the current estate’s founder, are now at the helm, producing their wines from the estate’s 150 hectares with vines planted on clay-calcareous soils. Each grape variety is planted on the soil type that best brings out their individual characteristics. Acute attention to detail throughout the growing season and the winemaking process means that these fresh, vibrant wines are packed with a mass of fresh ripe fruit flavour, whilst also offering great value for the quality. Meticulous handling of the fruit is supported by techniques, including low temperature fermentations, skin contact and lees ageing. The wines’ authenticity is truly reflective of their sunny southern French origins!
