Description

Thanks to 21 days of maceration at controlled temperatures (28°C), this terroir has the specificity of giving the Malbec a more generous concentration. Its aromatic complexity and the finesse of its tannins make this cuvée a great Cahors. Breeding 85% in stainless steel vats for 10 to 12 months and 15% in oak barrels.

Tasting note

With a beautiful slightly purple color specific to Malbec, with a sweet nose on the fruit and a touch of sweet spices, it is balanced. The palate is round and sincere with a subtly peppery note of blackberry.

Food pairing

Both greedy and tannic, it will prove perfectly on a table to accompany grilled meat.

About the producer

The history of the estate takes its roots in the 14th century. On the strength of Molinié family heritage, in 1998, having obtained his diploma in viticulture & oenology,
Matthieu Molinié took over the family estate. His partner Virginie obtained the same diploma and joined him 2 years later. Today their estate covers 28 hectares of
vineyards in the Cahors appellation, with vines that are on average 25 years old.

The estate brings together all the great veins of the Cadurcien terroirs: limestone-marly plateaus, clay-limestone plateaus, siderolithic red clays, first, second and third
valley terraces, clays with rolled pebbles. The mode of management of the vineyard in organic conversion is part of a strong conviction: the development of the
particularity of each terroir. Cahors benefits from a dual climate: Oceanic until the month of June, it gently morphs to a Mediterranean climate in July, thus ensuring
perfect balance between acidity and maturity in the vineyard.
