Regions Vintage Report:

The 2014 vintage started with a cold winter. Budbreak arrived earlier than usual due to high temperatures and low soil moisture levels in spring. After flowering, there was an excellent fruit set, although the lack of rain delayed veraison compared to previous years. Ripening was slow and somewhat irregular, so picking was delayed. Slow ripening was to the benefit of white grapes, with balanced alcohol content and acidity, masking the wine ideal for ageing. Fortunately, early leaf thinning proved crucial in ensuring clusters in good condition.
